Inviting Members to a Topic
* In JANDI, new members who just joined the Team can view previous conversations. This way, the new member can easily understand previous work history just by joining the right Topics. To invite a new member to a Topic, please refer to the following. <PC / Web> 1. Select the [Invite Members] icon on the upper right corner of your Topic. 2. Choose the members you want to invite to the topic. You may use the filters to search for specific members. Also, by checking the [Select all members] box,What are Public, Private Topic, and Chats?
*A Topic is a subject-based chatroom. When you create a new Topic, you can choose it to be public or private according to the Topic’s purpose. On the other hand, a Chat is used for more casual conversations among team members. <Public Topic> - All Members of the Team are able to join a public Topic. - Any Member can join a public Topic by selecting a Topic listed on the [Browse other public topics] menu. <Private Topic> - A private Topic is not listed in the [Browse other public topics] menu. -What is a Board View Topic?
*The Board VIew Topic is a chatroom in the form of a bulletin board, where you can pin your posts at the top of the chatroom. <PC/Web> 1. Select the [≡] icon on the upper right corner of your JANDI and click on the [Admin Menu]. 2. Go to the [Add-on Settings] tab, and turn the [Board & Notification] settings on. 3. *All Members of the Team can create Topics. Create any Topic for your tasks. *Associates cannot create a Topic. <PC / Web> 1. Select the (+) icon on the top of your Topic List, which is located on the left side of your JANDI. Then select [Create a new topic]. 2. The Topic Admin and the Team Admin can delete a Topic. <PC/Web> - On the upper right corner of the Topic, select the [···] icon and choose [Delete]. <Mobile> - Once you are in the Topic, select the [...] icon on the upper right corner. In the Topic Info page, select [Delete] located on the bottom. *The Topic will be deleted along with the Topic, and cannot be restored. Joining and Browsing Topics
You can search Topics according to specific projects, departments, or subjects. Just select any Topic you need to join. <PC / Web> 1. On the Topic list located on the left of your JANDI screen, select the (+) icon on the top of the list and then select [Browse other public topics]. - Once the ‘Browse Topics’ window pops up, search, and select the Topic you want to join. - Please remember that only Public Topics will show up on the list. Do you want to leave a Topic? If you decide to leave a public Topic, you can always rejoin the Topic whenever you need to. If you are leaving a private Topic, you need someone from the Topic to invite you back to the Topic. <PC/Web> - On the upper right corner of the Topic, select the [···] icon and click [Leave]. <Mobile> - Select [...] on the upper right corner once you’re in the Topic, then select [Leave]. *If you are the Topic Admin, please select another member in the Topic as the Topic AdmInviting Members to a Topic Automatically
*For Topics that you want all team members to join from the beginning automatically, please set ‘auto invite.’ The Auto invite feature is useful if you have a topic that needs to be checked for a smoother workflow. <PC / Web> 1. On the Topic’s upper right corner, select the [···] icon and [Edit Info]. Remember, only the Topic Admin can edit the Topic Info. 2. The Topic admin and the Team admin has the authority to remove members from a Topic. Only Topic Admin and Team Admin have the right to edit Topic information. <PC/Web> 1. On the right side of the Topic, click [···] - [Edit Info] button. Do you ever need a Topic for one-way communication? If you need to create a Topic for announcement purposes, create a ‘View-Only’ Topic to deliver information to your Team members without anyone else uploading messages or files. Only the Topic Admin, Team Admin, and the Team Owner can upload messages or files in the ‘View-Only’ Topic. *Please keep in mind that if you share a file that is already uploaded in another Topic, leaving comments under the file will be possible. <PC/Web> 1. Try the split view! You can view two chats simultaneously in the PC JANDI version.
